Camberley has over 100 members who play in County, National,
Team and Club KO competitions and has seen the standard of play and
subsequently team and individual success[s] improve this past 2004/5
season. Team endeavours in both the Men's and Ladies competitions has
been good and a run of successes meant Camberley were competing up to
and including March 2005. The men reached the quarter-final of the
Denny Plate with the Ladies competing in several Zone Finals.
Camberley won the inter-club 'WeyCam Cup' winning
narrowly over Wey Valley by 2 shots.
Competing in the 'Egham Challenge Cup' the men turned
around a 31 shot deficit by going to Egham and winning by some 34
shots....it now rests with the Camberley Ladies to do the same when
they entertain Egham Ladies on 22nd March 2005. Good luck
Ladies.
- 4 Social Activities
-
The social committee provides a mix of events that provide members
with the opportunity to 'let their hair down' and enjoy some light
hearted nights. Always responsive to member's needs the season past
has seen some great nights and we have the pictures to prove it!
Generally running one event a month we see the season [indoor] drawing
to a close with the Camberley Open Day - being supported by the social
team, who are running the 'raffle/bottle/cake stalls'.
-
Please support the social events as 'it's your club' and as well as
the bowls activity, the social side is an essential part of the
'fabric of the clubs activities'.
